The smart design of this manual sharpener allows you to sharpen your knives in two different slots to guarantee a truly complete sharpening. Here is for what each slot is supposed to be used:
– Slot #1: the blades of the notch are made of tunsten, which is an ultra hard material that is ideal for reshaping the blade’s edge. Therefore, this slot is where the initial sharpening of blunt blades must be made.
– Slot #2: in this notch, the blades are made of ceramic. This matieral is perfect for polishing and honing the blade’s edge, so this slot should be used to finish the sharpening of a blade previously sharpened in the slot #1 or for maintaining the sharp edge of a blade that is still sharp.
To use the Exosharp sharpener you simply need to pass the blade through your desired slot. When passing the blde through the notch, make sure to pull the blade towards you and not in the opposite direction. Just follow the arrow that is between the two slots. You simply need to repeat this mouvement 3 to 4 times, and your blade will be ready!
